The parallel meter is an S meter that integrates the synchronous indicator light and synchronous pulse transmission. At a certain moment before the frequency difference between the generator to be paralleled and the system is less than a certain set value and the phase difference is "0", the closing light is allowed to light up and the main switch closing command is issued to achieve automatic synchronous grid connection between the generator to be paralleled and the system.

Features & Protection
1. When wiring as per the external diagram is correct, during the power - on test, do not press SB1 to avoid initial closing
pulses. 2. For polarity check: Run Generator Set 1 to rated speed, connect to grid after voltage built- up. Run Generator 2 (to - be -paralleled) near rated speed, build voltage. Switch synchroscope to Unit 2, close KS2, energize KA2. When frequency difference is within range, check if S - meter phase indicator matches switchboard sync light (extinguishes at 0°; check wiring if not. 3. Operate speed - regulating switch to make to - be - paralleled unit frequency approach system frequency. When within frequency difference lockout & phase ~ 0°, closing indicator lights (SB1 open, no relay signal). Press SB1 for correct closing pulse if working normally. 4. Slowly adjust unit speed to get generator frequency into frequency difference lock range. 5. Synchroscope changeover switch contacts KS1 & KS2 must interlock. |
